BIO
A highly accomplished and skilled GIS and UAV Specialist with 18 years of experience in supporting clients in a number of fields including Environment, Infrastructure and Transport, Land Referencing, Planning, Mobile Data Collection and leading teams on a large scale GIS projects.
Currently Hrvoje is a Principal GIS Consultant in WSP working on High Speed Rail (HS2) project, Highways England A303 UAV surveys and the A14 projects. He is also acting as Unmanned Arial Vehicle Survey manager with responsibility to supervise all UAV surveys and manage production of terrain and surface models, drawings and UAV flythrough videos.

Other Experience:
18 years experience of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), specialising in Esri products.
A detailed knowledge of the ArcGIS Platform and spatial data management, with a particular focus on the management, maintenance and integration of Esri’s enterprise geodatabase (ArcSDE).
Excellent understanding of SQL Server (background databases to ArcSDE), ArcGIS Online and in-depth exposure to commercial CAD software (Bentley System and Autodesk).

• Leading the Agile team of four analysts and two developers to deliver data projects and business value across the organisation.
• Providing input into the Geospatial strategy and help to ensure its success.

Coordinate and mentor GIS professionals with projects and training material to ensure they have the necessary tools to succeed in their roles.
Managed workflow for a team of GIS analysts, including the coordination of complex projects for JLL UK
Design of ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online Web Mapping applications for internal and external use. Designing and developing GIS Mobile Data collection solutions for JLL Survey Teams.
Maintain expertise knowledge and use of GIS software and geodatabases, including ESRI (ArcGIS Desktop & Online), MapInfo, Adobe Illustrator, Google Earth and Microsoft Office Suite.

PRINCIPAL GIS CONSULTANT, WSP
Managing WSP GIS team of ten based in the London office. Responsible for managing GIS delivery on multiple infrastructure projects such as High Speed 2 (HS2) Railway, Heathrow Airport expansion, Crossrail 2, Thames Tideway and A14 Smart Motorway upgrade.
Involved in business development for existing clients and new pursuits. Design of ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online Web Mapping applications for internal and external use. Designing and developing GIS / GPS Mobile Data collection solutions.
Data management in SQL Server spatial databases. Handling Spatial Analysis of large volumes of data for multiple projects.
Managing data conversion between CAD and GIS systems. Working on the delivery of Parliamentary Plans for HS2 Hybrid Bill, Additional Provisions 1, 2 and 4.
Developing new Unmanned Aerial Vehicle business and acting as UAV survey manager for WSP UK.

GIS PROJECT MANAGER, ICOS – INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL ON SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT
Team lead on GPS mapping project in Kabul, Afghanistan. Project included 8 core staff members and 60 part time surveyors with aim to create first detailed maps of Kabul with over 5000 Points of Interest (POI’s) and over 1000 street names.
Project planning, time and cost analysis. Organised teams on the field, quality control and GPS data preparation. Organised project presentations for investors.
GIS data capturing using Remote Sensing (WV-2 High resolution Imagery) and ground surveying methods (high precision GPS). Ensuring appropriate spatial data structure for final product delivery is in place. Spatial and Temporal analysis of city development in past five decades.
Designing 3D models from Orthorectified Imagery and SRTM data of surveyed area and presenting data through interactive digital maps
Organised workshops and trainings on usage of GPS devices and GIS Software for field researchers

SENIOR GIS AND FORESTRY INVENTORY SPECIALIST, CROATIAN FORESTS
Team lead for projects creating Forestry Management plans and Environment Impact Assessment documents for nature parks and public or private forest areas in Croatia. Organised teams for collecting GIS/GPS and forestry data on the field, planned financial costs of projects and monitored work processes.
Performed measurements, monitoring current stages of forestry complexes and harmonization of wood quantities used for industrial purposes in Croatia, collecting GPS and GIS data for mapping forest areas.
Used Digital Elevation Models (DEM) for slope and aspect calculations. Slope values were used to determine exact area of inventory sample points. Created surfaces using interpolation tools (IDW, Kriging) for displaying tree diameters and species distribution over specific forest area. For the analysis I have used ArcGIS 3.2 to ArcGIS 9.3 with extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst).
Created Viewshed analysis in ArcGIS for determining appropriate areas for fire protection check points.
Production of high quality cartographic products like 1:1000, 1:5000, 1:10000 scale maps.
Designed, developed and delivered ESRI and Open Source (QGIS) internal training courses.
